An "Aggie"
is defined as a student whom attends or attended an
agricultural school or college. This is why the North
Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
adopted the nickname "Aggies" when the school was founded in
1891.
The mascot for
NC A&T SU is a bulldog. The bulldog is referred to as
"Aggie" not to confuse those who cannot grasp the concept of
the bulldog representing students that attend this
agricultural college.
The school
carries it's fine legacy, heritage, and pride in the chant
and slogan, "Aggie Pride," which sparks fear and
anticipation in all those that dare to challenge an A&T
Aggie.
AGGIE PRIDE!
AGGIE PRIDE! AGGIE PRIDE!!!!
